Yoga Nest 40hr Aerial Yoga Teacher Training
Registrations open!
7-10 May 2026 | Yoga Nest Zürich Oerlikon or Zentrum
What began at Yoga Nest as a few aerial classes each week slowly became something more: familiar faces returning, confidence growing, laughter between hammocks, students becoming practitioners, practitioners becoming a community. This training was born from that space.
Our 40-Hour Aerial Yoga Teacher Training is an invitation to step deeper into a practice that many of you already love - to understand it from the inside, to explore its foundations, and to experience what happens when movement, curiosity, and learning come together in a shared space.
For us, this training is especially meaningful. Lari and Guka have been teaching aerial yoga, mat yoga, and teacher trainings together, learning from one another and refining how we hold space for groups moving through transformation and learning. Creating this training together felt like a natural continuation of that collaboration: combining their experience, their perspectives, and shared passion for thoughtful, accessible teaching.
Together, they have co-created and written the training manual specifically for this program, shaping it from real teaching experience, real students, and real practice - not theory alone. This is not only a professional education. It is a lived experience of learning within community.

Who this training is for
• Yoga teachers wishing to expand their teaching into aerial yoga
• Regular aerial practitioners who want to deepen understanding and practice safely
• Movement teachers and bodyworkers exploring aerial work as an additional modality
• Students who feel curious to build a strong and structured foundation beyond weekly classes (you do not need to plan to teach, a sincere interest in learning and exploring the practice more deeply is enough)
The experience
Over the course of the training, the studio becomes a shared learning space, a rhythm of practice, discussion, experimentation, and reflection. Some moments are playful and light, others precise and focused. There is time to ask questions, to try again, to observe, and to discover new perspectives on familiar movements.
We work closely as a group, allowing space for individual processes while learning collectively. Our intention is to create an environment where participants feel supported both technically and personally, a space where confidence grows naturally through understanding.
Having guided multiple yoga teacher trainings, Lari and Guka bring experience not only in teaching aerial techniques, but in supporting people as they step into new roles, new skills, and sometimes entirely new professional directions.
What you will learn
Throughout 40 hours of in-person training, we explore aerial yoga as both a personal practice and a teaching methodology, including:
• foundational aerial yoga techniques and safe setup
• alignment principles and intelligent use of the hammock
• progressive sequencing and class structure
• spotting, safety, and adaptations for different bodies and experience levels
• anatomy-informed movement and injury prevention
• transitions, inversions, and accessible progressions
• teaching methodology and clear cueing
• integration of breath, awareness, and rest within aerial practice
The training balances theory, practice, observation, and hands-on learning.
