Curriculum Highlights
While creating this teacher training, we wanted to focus on a balance between hands-on practice and thoughtful study. We give you time to find your teaching voice and build confidence in a supportive environment. Here’s a glimpse at what you’ll learn:

Guka I Gosia Proc - Head Teacher & Founder of Yoga Nest
Guka is a passionate and experienced yoga teacher with over eight years of teaching behind her. Based in Zurich, she runs regular classes at her studio, Yoga Nest, while also leading special events, workshops, and retreats in various countries. She is deeply committed to her own growth as a lifelong student, constantly learning to better support everyone who practices with her. Guka has studied under Serhiy Horyachun for several years and is mentored by Michael James Wong, gaining inspiration from their guidance. She has a particular passion for the anatomy and physiology of yoga, which she has explored extensively through her PhysiYoga training and other certifications. As the lead teacher and author of the training manual for this 200-hour program, Guka blends her knowledge of Vinyasa, Hatha, Breathwork, Meditation and restorative yoga with a warm, inclusive teaching style. She believes yoga is for everyBODY and can’t wait to share her practice with you throughout this program.
Michael James Wong - Senior Teacher & Lecturer
International facilitator and well renowned yoga and meditation teacher, Michael James Wong, has facilitated over 3,000 hours of Yoga Teacher Training Courses in the past 18 years of teaching. Michael is a Yoga Alliance CPD and YACEP Senior Teacher who is dedicated to supporting teachers develop the tools and techniques necessary for teaching in the real world. Michael is an accomplished teacher, speaker and author and is the Founder of Krama Yoga, a community and yoga training school, Just Breathe, a community led organisation focused on supporting your mind and mental health and is a masterful facilitator for yoga, meditation and breath-work. His teaching brings together a wealth of knowledge, technique and study that respects the ancient traditions and philosophies of the practice and integrates them with a modern perspective for the 21st century. Michael believes that above all else, yoga is a practice with purpose. Michael will be joining the training for selected modules.
Michelle Marthaler - Teacher & Training Mentor
Michelle will be joining the Training Team bringing many years of experience as a school teacher and a yoga teacher, which makes her an amazing guide and mentor for this program. Michelle completed her first yoga teacher training in 2017 in Zurich, and since then, she has continued learning, adding sound healing, yoga nidra and meditation to her repertoire. Her dedication to learning and her deep understanding of diverse teaching methodologies make her an incredible asset to the team. She’s also the co-founder of Achtsamkeit.rocks, an educational program focused on mindfulness. Michelle brings also her experience with yoga nidra and relationship coaching, which shows just how much she cares about creating meaningful connections. She’s passionate about making sure everyone feels supported in their learning journey. As a Support Teacher and Student Mentor, Michelle is here to make sure you feel confident, connected, and cared for throughout your training.
Lari Greutmann - Teacher & Training Mentor
Since completing her teacher training in 2021, Larissa has brought her passion for yoga to students across Switzerland and around the world, including Guatemala, Italy, and Mexico. Rooted in hatha yoga, she honors its ancient traditions while making it meaningful for today’s practitioners. Lari’s teaching reflects her deep care for her students, blending knowledge, empathy, and adaptability. As part of the Yoga Nest 200-hour teacher training team, she will mentor and support teachers, offering guidance and cultivating a sense of community. Lari is dedicated to empowering others on their unique journeys, inspiring confidence and growth in every step.
Kasia Lipnicka - Training Assistant
Kasia completed her yoga teacher training in 2024 and is excited to support the Teacher Training Team and Trainees. Throughout the training, she will be there to assist with logistics and ensure everything runs smoothly. Kasia is a warm and caring who brings her love for yoga and passion for supporting others in everything she does. She’s looking forward to being part of this journey and helping create a supportive and inspiring experience for everyone!
Exams
You’ll finish with two exams:
Written Exam: Assessing theoretical knowledge (history, philosophy, anatomy, etc.).
Oral Exam: Teaching a section of a real class in our studio.
A passing mark in both exams is required for certification.
Yoga Alliance Registration
Our 200-hour training meets Yoga Alliance’s elevated standards. Graduates can register as RYT-200, a widely recognized credential in the yoga community.
Payment Plan
Tuition: 4300 CHF (payment plans available)
We offer flexibility in financing your training. After paying the initial deposit of 500 CHF, you can complete the remaining amount in four installments (all payments due by the end of August 2025). Once your deposit is received, we’ll provide email instructions on upcoming payment dates and links.

Yoga Nest Teacher Training Membership: The moment you pay your deposit, you can sign up for a Yoga Nest teacher training membership at 50% off our usual unlimited membership rate, giving you ample classes before and during your course.
Eligibility & Pre-requisites: We recommend at least one year of regular, consistent yoga practice (or six months if you already teach another physical discipline).

I’m ready to sign up! Where do I register?

How long does the training last, and how often do we meet?
Our 200-hour teacher training spans 7 weekends (Friday-Sunday).
When will I find out if I’ve been accepted?
After submitting your application, you will be notified via email within 2 weeks about your acceptance into the program.
Is this training registered with the Yoga Alliance?
Yes, upon completing the program, you can register as an RYT-200 with Yoga Alliance.
Do I need any prior yoga experience to join?
Yes. We recommend this training if you have at least 1 year of established yoga practice. Some of our students have been practicing yoga for years, while others are just starting out. If you feel called to deepen your practice or explore teaching, we’d love to have you.
What if I can’t do all the poses?
That’s absolutely fine! Proficiency in challenging postures is not a requirement. This training meets you exactly where you are. You’ll learn and grow at your own pace throughout the program.
Do I have to plan to teach after completing the training?
Not at all. Many people join YTT simply to deepen their personal practice, learn more about yoga philosophy, and grow in ways they never expected.
Is there an age requirement?
Yes, participants must be at least 18 years old.
Can I do the training while working a full-time job?
You will need to consider that Modules 1-6 start on Friday. Be also prepared to dedicate additional time to homework and personal practice outside of class.
How much homework is involved?
Expect to spend about 2-5 hours per week on assignments, including reading, journaling, preparing sequences, and practice teaching.
What if I miss a session?
Yoga Alliance requires completion of all classroom hours and assignments. If you must miss a session, make-up arrangements are required to ensure you stay on track.
Do I have to take an exam?
Yes, there will be a teaching assessment, a written assessment, and homework. You’ll be thoroughly supported by our training team.
Will I get to practice teaching during the program?
Yes! You’ll have plenty of opportunities to practice teaching in a safe and supportive environment. This hands-on experience is a key part of the program and will help you feel confident leading your own classes.
What’s included in the tuition?
Your tuition includes training sessions in the studio, online sessions, as well as a detailed manual. Studio props are available for use during training, but you’ll need your own props for home practice.
Are books included in the tuition?
No, required books must be purchased separately. The total cost of books will be shared during the application process and is typically around 100 CHF.
Are there any extra costs?
We recommend obtaining trainee insurance when you start practice teaching. You’ll also need to purchase or borrow the required course texts.
Can I pay in installments?
Yes, a payment plan is available. Contact us for details.
Will I be certified to teach yoga?
Yes. Upon completing the program, you’ll receive a certificate of completion, allowing you to register as an RYT-200 with Yoga Alliance. This is the minimum credential most studios and gyms require for yoga teachers.
What happens after the training ends?
Your journey continues with lifelong learning! Yoga Alliance registration must be maintained with ongoing continuing education, details of which can be found on their website.
